Learn MoreWhat we tell Cudahy owners
Those long, narrow lots began as small farm plots, and fewer than two in ten households own. If you rent, you can still ask what is wrong. We put it in writing so your landlord has it in simple language. Marine influence keeps temperatures moderate here, so the risks are not heat or brush. Instead, it is the older masonry that worries us, after 1933 showed what quakes do, plus fall gusts on a loose cap.
What We Look at First
Gas log flue and masonry, then the top of the stack on a narrow lot.
What Cannot Wait
Gas logs running under a blocked flue, brick loose above a shared side yard, a cap about to fall.
What Can Wait
Chipped hearth tile, worn surround paint, old staining that does not grow or spread.
