One report, with each fireplace named

What the record looks like

Picture a single document. Each fireplace is named, with what we found, photos, and a plain note on whether it can wait. You can file it, forward it to the board, or hand it to whoever does your repairs.

The photos and the report are ready the day of the visit.

How the price works

Take the number of fireplaces and multiply it by the Level 1 or Level 2 figure. That is the price.

A sweep is also per fireplace, from $225.

One visit

We go through each fireplace in the same trip. Residents and tenants get one appointment, not a string of them. We need access to each unit that has a chimney, and a name to call.

A Level 1 looks over the parts that are simple to reach. A Level 2 sends a camera through the flue, and it takes in attic, crawlspace and roof areas that are open to us.

When a Level 2 makes sense

NFPA 211 asks for a Level 2 in four situations. The property is sold or transferred. A chimney catches fire. The ground shakes hard. The home changes from one fuel to another. Anywhere your buildings in Encino, Sherman Oaks or Calabasas have been through one of those, schedule it. Repairs are quoted after the inspection, and the report tells you which ones can wait.
